PSAC and the Treasury Board today signed new collective agreements for the Program and Administrative (PA) and Technical Services (TC) groups, which were ratified by members on September 29. The two collective agreements represent more than 80,000 employees of the federal public service. PSAC and The Treasury Board also signed the Phoenix damages agreement reached this summer. Bargaining Partners: Federal Government Dockyard Trades and Labour Council (Esquimalt) (West) (FGDTLC (W)) Agreement expiry date: January 30, 2023 Dispute Resolution Mechanism: Arbitration 7.7.2 For workers who accept a job offer from the new employer, in the case of a Type 2 agreement with a new hourly or annual wage of less than 80% (80%) the credit rating agency, in accordance with this section and Section 7.7.1, pays an additional salary bonus of six (6) months for a total of twenty-four (24) months. OTTAWA, ON, July 10, 2020 /CNW/CNW/ – In keeping with its obligation to enter into agreements that are fair to both workers and Canadians, the Canadian government reached a preliminary agreement on July 9, 2020 with Canada`s largest federal public service union, the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC). If ratified, the Canadian government will have reached agreements for this round of negotiations, which will cover nearly 60 per cent of public servants. 49.01 The employer recognizes the usefulness of training leave. At the written request of the worker and with the employer`s consent, a worker may benefit from unpaid training leave for different periods of up to one (1) renewable year by mutual agreement to go to an accredited educational institution in an educational area where preparation is necessary to better occupy the current role of the worker or to carry out studies in a field, in order to provide a service that the employer needs or plans to provide.
